Having started in june 1999, MuCoBa celebrates its 10th anniversary in June 2009.

New product/services

MuCoBa improves its products continuously and launches regularly innovated products. Newly developed products are based on client needs, identified through market surveys.

MuCoBa launches insurance services

Field officers of MuCoBa noticed that some of the collateral of the clients who take loans, have to be insured. This inspired MuCoBa to become an insurance agent to be able to insure collaterals and cover other insurance needs, which will also increase bank income.

MuCoBa is also working on the possibility of providing life insurance to its clients.

MuCoBa works on expanding its money-transfer network

In a large country as Tanzania, families and businessmen often need to transfer money to far away locations in the country. MuCoBa offers already money transfer services between Mafinga and Dar-Es-Salaam. MuCoBa is now studying different options to extend its money transfer service to provide a secure way of transferring money throughout the country and - if possible - abroad.

MuCoBa supports sports

Since sport is an excellent way of creating group-feeling while developing young people in their attitude, MuCoBa supports initiatives of improving sports in Mufindi District and beyond.

MuCoBa supports other social welfare initiatives

MuCoBa values highly the wellbeing of community members. In supporting this, MuCoBa contributes towards improvement of education in Mufindi District, for example by offering building material to both primary and secondary schools among other things.
